Meet Vascular Surgeon Dr. Patrick Neville.
When do you first recall wanting a career in medicine?
Probably sometime in high school, he was just fascinated with medicine and surgery in particular. He volunteered in surgery in high school and college and was amazed at the type of things surgeons could do.
Discuss the collaboration that occurs on a daily basis.
It was always impressed upon him early that medicine was a team game with physicians, ancillary staff, and patients. It is nice to be part of a center where everyone is able to collaborate to give great patient care.
Talk about how you can help improve a patient’s quality of life.
Some people may have pain with walking and progress to very limited mobility. They have techniques to help improve flow to the extremities to reduce pain.
What do you like to do outside of the office?
It’s about spending time with family and friends. He is also an avid sports fan. He tries to stay active and likes being outside.
